( she accepts the offered chocolate without question, softly setting the card face down on the table and slipping two needed pieces into her mouth. it doesn't taste any different from any chocolate she's had before, maybe sweeter, but there's a lingering aftertaste which she thinks just might be in her head or perhaps the pressure of the moment and her nerves getting the best of her.
her heart is already racing though it hasn't stopped racing since she left the gardens for his cabin. perhaps spurred on by her racing heart, she reaches out with a gentle touch to take his hand and squeeze.
partly it is for her, an attempt at smoothing her own anxiety but she hopes it offers him some comfort as well. or at least gets across her feeling better than she can in her stumbling words alone. )
