[ Leaving New Bark Town was his ultimate priority. Despite the fact that he had been well supplied by whoever it was who called herself "Mom", it didn't sit well with him. That person wasn't his mother. There was just no way. That being said, it left a rather unpleasant taste in his mouth. So the boy and his Pokemon had finally settled themselves underneath a tree on Route 29, for him to sort things out and for the Pokemon to go around and play by herself as she was want to do.

The Happiny can be found running around in the background, diving in and out of the tall grass as Yukio sinks down against the tree. ]

I'm not sure how far this network goes but I figured there should be other people out there who can hear me and can maybe answer a few questions.

[ He frowns a bit. The next part is a bit of a long stretch but it's worth a try. ]

[ Before he can say his brother's name, he's suddenly interrupted by loud crying. In the background, you can clearly see his Happiny had tripped and is currently bawling its little eyes out. ]

Airi?

[ He gets up, turning to look behind the tree. ]

Airi, I told you to be careful.

[ With a sigh, he decides to head over there before cutting the feed. ]

I was told that there's no way to return home by your own will, but, uh... everything stays the same back home. As for your friend, I'm afraid I don't know anyone with that name--I just got here a few days ago myself. I'm sorry I can't be of much help.

_{[He pauses and gives the Happiny a concerned look.]}

Um... Is it okay? Your pokémon, I mean.

He isn't my friend. He's my brother.

[ There's a small sigh from that, holding the Happiny up who seems to respond quite positively to the attention. She's stopped crying at least and is actually laughing at being held up. ]

I guess she's okay. Doesn't look like anything's hurt or broken by the looks of things.

[ Attention back on the camera. ]

I kind of just got here myself, too. There's probably not too much about this place anyone would know within the first week or so, I'd guess.

Ah... Sorry. Um... If you don't find him over the network, you might find someone in Cherrygrove who knows him. At least that's where I was told to head if I couldn't find my friends through it.

_{[But the confirmation that it was okay was a relief. He didn't admit it, but seeing his own Vulpix get hurt from a wild Pidgey was unnerving enough--he actually ended up chasing it off so he could tend to it.]}

I'd say your best bet would be to find someone who's been here a little longer than I have for the smaller details--even the woman in the house I woke up in didn't really answer my questions, so I don't know how much help the other natives can be.

[ Cherrygrove. More notes on his mental To-Do list. If his brother doesn't respond to this message, he'll head there too.

That frown comes back though at the mention of that woman. It still unnerves him. It seemed so pre-programmed. That was definitely not his mom. His mom is not here and never will be. ]

I think I'll do that. There's got to be someone here who knows something.

I'm sure there's someone. It's just a matter of finding them I think. I mean, it's not like we're the only people here, so... someone has to know more than what I was told.

It's nice. I mean--it's not really nice that we were all taken from our homes, but it's nice in the way that we're not... alone, I guess.

I-It's not a problem, um... Yukio, right? I've been going back and forth from the first route to the city for a couple days, so there's a good chance I might find something.

[ He was never the kind to work in packs. Operating alone was a usual thing but then this was a rather unusual situation to begin with. ]

Right. I just left town myself so I'll probably see what I can find when I get to Cherrygrove.

It should take you a few days at most, but if you get lost the map should get you in the right direction. ...You'll probably want to use your pokemon to fight too--they get stronger that way, or at least I've noticed mine has. Thankfully the ones on Route 29 aren't that bad, so I think yours should be able to take them on no problem.

Airi's had to defend herself a few times when we were going through the long grass. I'm sure she's probably a bit stronger than when we first left town.

[ Picking up the giggling Pokemon now just to look her over. ]

She learned a few new moves, too.

Well... That's good at least. I guess they're not all as harmless as they look.

I've noticed that with mine, too. It's not much, but Berik can actually scare certain wild ones away by barking at it now... or maybe it's supposed to be a roar. I'm not really sure what he does, but it keeps them away and it's actually kind of cute.

They've got their ways of protective themselves, I guess.

[ A shrug. ]

We're not as defenseless as I thought we would be from when we first arrived. [ And a beat. ] That reminds me... was anything of yours missing when you got here?

Mm. It's a small comfort knowing that if we were hurt they'd be able to protect us along with themselves.

_{[At the question, he frowns faintly and nods once.]}

Yeah. My Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear was missing, but I still had the harness on. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little exposed without it.
